•Escondido, California-based Stone Brewing has released a new Bourbon barrel-aged version of its Arrogant Bastard Ale. Making its debut this week, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Arrogant Bastard will be available in six-packs and on draft across 42 states. The 7.9%-abv expression is the fourth entry in Stone’s Bastard Releases lineup, which, in addition to the original Arrogant Bastard Ale, includes the Double Bastard Ale and Lukcy Basartd entries. First launched in 1997, Arrogant Bastard Ale is available year-round in 22-ounce bottles, 3-liter bottles, as part of the Arrogant Bastard Box and on draft.
•Victory Brewing Co. is entering the Arkansas market for the first time with the announcement that its products will be carried by wholesaler Arkansas Craft Distributors. The brand will make its debut at the Fayetteville Foam Fest on May 9, an event showcasing some 80 craft breweries. After that, Victory will roll out its Summer Love Ale on draft around the state followed by such labels as the Prima Pils, Golden Monkey and HopDevil in bottles in off-premise channels. Arkansas is the 36th state for Victory, which is based in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, with a second production facility recently opened in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania.
