Brewer-Clifton Taps Vintus As U.S. Distributor

May 13, 2015

New York-based fine wine sales and marketing company Vintus has entered into a long-term distribution pact with Brewer-Clifton, the Santa Rita Hills vintner that produced one of Wine Spectator’s Top 10 wines of 2014.

The distribution partnership with Vintus, which is led by former Kobrand executive Michael Quinttus, comes a few months after Ken Frederickson, a master sommelier and wholesaler, purchased a 70% stake in Brewer-Clifton, which was founded in 1996 by Greg Brewer and Steve Clifton (each of whom has retained a minority interest in the winery).

Brewer-Clifton’s Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2012 was recognized as the #8 wine of 2014 by Wine Spectator.

Earlier this month, Vintus became the U.S. importer of Champagne Bollinger.
