Accolade Names New Zealand Chief Loza As New U.S. General Manager

May 21, 2015

Accolade Wines has named MJ Loza as its new general manager for North America, effective July 1. Loza, who’s currently head of Accolade’s New Zealand operations, joined the company through its 2014 acquisition of New Zealand’s Mud House Wine Group, of which he was CEO. In his new role, based in Napa, Loza will join Accolade’s executive committee and report directly to company CEO John Ratcliffe.

Former Accolade North America managing director Tim Matz departed last year to lead Zonin USA. In the interim, Accolade CFO Steven Gorst has been overseeing the North American unit. Founded in 2010, Accolade’s key brands include Geyser Peak, Atlas Peak, XYZin, Hardys and Banrock Station.
