•Asheville, North Carolina’s Green Man Brewery is rolling out seasonal Wayfarer Summer IPA on draft and in bottles. The sessionable white IPA (5.5% abv) is brewed with 30% wheat and 70% Pilsner malt and Citra, Simcoe and Columbus hops. Wayfarer joins Green Man’s rotating seasonal portfolio, which also includes Leaf Blower Amber Ale, Forester Stout and Rambler Pale Ale. It’s available throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and parts of Tennessee.
•Specialty beer importer Merchant du Vin has appointed Ryan Maher to the newly created role of general manager. Operating out of the company’s Seattle headquarters, Maher’s responsibilities will include day-to-day operations with a focus on sales. He began his career in the beer industry with Brooklyn Brewery and served as mid-Atlantic regional manager for Merchant du Vin from 1997-2003 before moving on to sales roles for Ketel One, William Grant & Sons and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Merchant du Vin’s imports include Samuel Smith’s from England, Traquair House from Scotland, Ayinger and Pinkus beers from Germany, among others.
