Exclusive: Deutsch Inks New Long-Term Agreements With Charmer Sunbelt

May 26, 2015

Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits has renewed its alliance with distributor Charmer Sunbelt Group across several Mid-Atlantic markets with a series of five-year deals. Under the new accords, Charmer will have exclusive rights to the Deutsch Family portfolio—including Yellow Tail, Josh Cellars, Barone Fini, Georges Duboeuf, Eppa, Luksusowa and other brands—across Delaware, Maryland and Washington, D.C., as well as select counties in Virginia through Associated Distributors.

Charmer Sunbelt, which has a roughly 10% share of the U.S. market’s wine and spirits wholesale tier, is projecting a 3.6% revenue rise to $5.6 billion for 2015, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter.

Deutsch Family’s new agreements with Charmer follow the wine and spirits marketer’s recent renewal of distribution deals with Glazer’s across eight states—located in the Central and Southern parts of the country—which SND covered on April 10. Deutsch’s other multi-state distribution partners include Southern Wine & Spirits, Martignetti, Allied and Sterling.
