•California’s Castle Rock Winery has extended its partnership with Southern Wine & Spirits (SWS) to include exclusive distribution in its home state and Arizona beginning this month. SWS already handles the winery’s portfolio in Nevada and New Mexico. The winery has a Pinot Noir emphasis from West Coast appellations and retails mainly in the $9-$16 price point. Castle Rock sells about a half-million cases annually, including about 100,000 cases in California, and expects to reach 1 million cases overall within four to five years.

•A. Hardy USA Ltd. has launched Brown Jug Bourbon Maple Cream liqueur nationwide in the U.S. Featuring a blend of Bourbon, maple syrup, cream and vanilla, Brown Jug is packaged in an retro-style brown glass bottle and priced at $21.99 a 750-ml. According to A. Hardy USA president Mark J. Levinson, the new 17%-abv entry is being positioned as a summer cocktail offering, intended to be blended with ice to make what the brand calls a Bourbon Maple Cream Milkshake.
