•New Belgium Brewing is introducing a new seasonal offering, Long Table Farmhouse Ale. Billed as “an ode to the communal Belgian Saison,” Long Table is a medium-bodied golden farmhouse ale made with pale malt and rye, as well as Nelson Sauvin and Chinook hops. The 6.2% abv brew is launching now in six- and 12-packs and on draft.

•Atlanta’s SweetWater Brewing Co. has appointed Kim Jones to the role of CEO. She takes on the leadership duties formerly held by company founder Freddy Bensch, who will remain chairman. Jones, who most recently served as SweetWater’s CFO since 2013, has also previously held a variety of senior financial and management roles with companies like Spanx Inc. and The Coca-Cola Company. She will be replaced in the CFO role by Bill Waters, who joins SweetWater from Molson Coors Brewing, where he most recently served as chief strategy officer.

•Lexington, Virginia’s Devils Backbone Brewing Company is set to enter the North Carolina market. The craft brewer has forged six new distribution deals in the state, including partnerships with RH Barringer Distributing in Greensboro; Craft Central, an offshoot of Charlotte-based Carolina Premium Beverage; Long Beverage in Raleigh; Coastal Beverage Company in Wilmington; Best of Beers in Hickory; and Healy Wholesale in Fayetteville. Starting this August, Devils Backbone’s core Vienna Lager, Eight Point IPA and Gold Leaf Lager will be available throughout North Carolina. Devils Backbone also sells throughout Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia, and recently expanded its brewing facility, growing annual capacity from 60,000 barrels to 90,000 barrels.

•Illinois-based Galena Brewing Co. has launched three of its labels in cans for the first time. Previously available only in glass bottles, Galena’s Anna Belle’s IPA, Farmer’s Blonde Ale and Fevre River Ale Hefeweizen have made their debut in 16-ounce aluminum Rexam cans, which are currently available at select retail accounts throughout Illinois and Iowa. Established in 2010, Galena Brewing operates a brewpub in Galena, Illinois and produces a total of 11 brews.
