A-B Continues To Acquire Craft Players With Deal For California’s Golden Road Brewing

Anheuser-Busch’s craft buying spree continues. The beer giant has agreed to acquire Los Angeles-based Golden Road Brewing, with annual sales of around 45,000 barrels, in a deal expected to close in the fourth quarter.

The largest craft producer in Los Angeles County, Golden Road focuses on draft and canned beers including Point the Way IPA, Wolf Among Weeds IPA, Golden Road Hefeweizen and 329 Days of Sun Lager, a quartet that accounts for 95% of company volume. Anheuser-Busch’s craft portfolio also includes Goose Island Beer Co., Blue Point Brewing, 10 Barrel Brewing and Elysian Brewing.
