•Baltimore, Maryland-based Heavy Seas Beer is rolling out a new IPA variety pack, the Boatload IPA Sampler. The 12-pack features four different India Pale Ales—Heavy Seas’ most popular offering Loose Cannon IPA, along with recent year-round release CrossBones Session IPA, double IPA Double Cannon and Black Cannon IPA, which makes its return exclusively to the Boatload Sampler following its 2014 release as a seasonal. Future Boatload Samplers will include new IPA offerings. The Boatload IPA Sampler will be available beginning in November throughout Heavy Seas’ 18-state distribution footprint.

•San Diego’s Old Harbor Distilling has debuted Barrelflag Navy Strength rum, a new small-batch white rum bottled at 114 proof. Barrelflag features a blend of two rums—including one made with 100% cane juice and the other with a mix of dark molasses and demerara sugar—and is currently available throughout San Diego, retailing at $34.99 a 750-ml. The rum marks the second spirits launch from Old Harbor, which launched its inaugural offering, San Miguel Southwestern gin, earlier this year. Several other new releases, including Ampersand coffee liquor, 1542 California Native Botanical gin and a barrel-aged version of Barrelflag, are slated to join the portfolio shortly.
