Ste. Michelle Posts 8% Sales Growth Over First Nine Months Of 2015

Ste. Michelle Wine Estates saw solid growth across all of its key brands in the third quarter ended in September, as well as for the first nine months of its fiscal year. The Washington-based winemaker enjoyed an 8% uptick in net revenue to $461 million for the nine-month period (sales rose 8.5% in the third quarter). Meanwhile, shipment volume increased 6.3% to 5.9 million cases over the first three quarters of 2015 (including a 9% bump in Q3).

Chateau Ste. Michelle (+5% to 2.1 million cases), Columbia Crest (+16% to 700,000 cases) and 14 Hands (+5% to 1.2 million cases) all provided buoyant performances within the Ste. Michelle brand stable for the nine-month period. Ste. Michelle parent company Altria Group is the largest shareholder in SABMiller with a 27% stake, and has shown support for the brewer’s pending merger with AB InBev.
