November 6, 2015•Craft Brew Alliance has posted flat depletions in its third quarter ended September 30, as net sales rose 5% to $54.7 million. Third-quarter shipments increased 2.2% on the year prior. Year-to-date, CBA’s net sales rose 1.5% on the first nine months of 2014, as the Kona, Omission and Square Mile Cider brands grew depletions by 14%, though depletions were down for the Widmer Brothers and Redhook brands.
•San Marcos, California-based craft brewer Lost Abbey has extended its The Hop Concept unit with the debut of The Hop Concept IPA: Hull Melon & Blanc. Made with Hull Melon and Hallertau Blanc hops, the 8%-abv expression will be available this December in 22-ounce bottles and on draft. Hull Melon & Blanc marks the first entry in a new series of four limited edition The Hop Concept IPA brews, with Lost Abbey set to launch a new edition each quarter. They will join The Hop Concept unit’s existing lineup of four seasonal Hop Freshener offerings.
