•Lakewood, New York’s Southern Tier Brewing Company is rolling out Four Headed Wooly Mammoth, a Belgian-style Quad Ale that will mark the first release in its Cellar Vault Series. The 11%-abv beer is brewed with Dark Belgian Candi Syrup, a traditional Belgian brewing ingredient, and fermented with Belgian Abbey yeast. It will be available beginning in January. The Cellar Vault Series will feature five limited releases created in Southern Tier’s 30-barrel pilot brewhouse available in select markets exclusively on draft. A sour ale brewed with Riesling grape juice will be the next offering in the series.

•Clifton Park, New York-based Shmaltz Brewing Company is introducing Chanukah in Kentucky, the latest limited-release beer in its barrel-aged series. The 8%-abv dark ale was aged for eight months in Heaven Hill and Jim Beam Bourbon barrels. It was made from a base of Shmaltz’s Hanukkah, Chanukah: Pass the Beer, which includes eight malts and eight hops. Chanukah in Kentucky is available now on draft and in 22-ounce bottles on a limited basis throughout the company’s 35-state distribution footprint. Other offerings from Shmaltz’s barrel-aged series include Funky Jewbelation, Bock Bock and RIPA on Rye.
