December 7, 2015•Kobrand has extended distribution of the Poema Red and White blends nationwide, following a limited launch last July. Sourced from Catalunya, Spain, Poema White is a mix of Macabeo and Muscat, while the Red is composed of Garnacha, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. Both Poema blends retail at $11.99 a bottle.
•Bayville, New York-based 750 Brands Corp. has launched its first spirits brand, Italy’s Francescano Natura Assisi liqueur line, to the U.S. market. The range of six gelato-inspired liqueur flavors (17% abv) includes Sicilian Pistachio Cream, Melon Cream, Peach Cream, Lemon Cream, White Chocolate Cream and Chocolate with Rum Cream, as well as its flagship Limoncello Liqueur (27% abv). The Francescano line is currently available in Kentucky, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Kansas, Tennessee and North Dakota at a suggested retail price of $23.99 a 750-ml. About three states a month are expected to be added to its distribution footprint in 2016, with the brand forecasted to reach 25,000 cases next year.
•Connecticut importer U.S. Beverage will introduce a new Radler offering under the Moosehead beer brand next spring. A blend of beer with natural fruit flavors including grapefruit, grape and lemon, Moosehead Radler is 4% abv. The new entry will debut nationwide, line-priced with the core Moosehead brand at $6.99 a six-pack of cans and $11.99 a 12-pack.
