•Colorado’s New Belgium Brewing has launched Blackberry Barley Wine. A play on a classic English barley wine recipe, the 10%-abv entry is made with Munich and Caramunich malts, Nugget hops and whole oats, and later brewed with fresh blackberries at the end of fermentation. Blackberry Barley Wine, which is currently available in 22-ounce bombers and on draft, marks the latest entry in New Belgium’s limited edition Lips of Faith series.

•Reyes Beverage Group’s Premium Distributors of Washington D.C. and Premium Distributors of Virginia have acquired rights to distribute the portfolios of California’s Lagunitas Brewing Company and Stone Brewing Company. The deals come as Premium Distributors has been adding to its stable across its territory of 16 counties and 10 cities in the Mid-Atlantic region. Escondido-based Stone will supply those markets with its lineup of seven year-round releases as well as special beers brewed at its second facility in Richmond, Virginia. In September, Heineken acquired a 50% stake in Petaluma-based Lagunitas, which is expected to grow by nearly 50% this year, led by Impact “Hot Brand” Lagunitas IPA, to approach the 1-million-barrel mark.
