December 11, 2015•Classic Imports, a subsidiary of Massachusetts-based distributor Martignetti Companies, is set to add the brands of Maine Distilleries to its portfolio. The 10-year deal will see Classic Imports distribute the distiller’s Cold River Vodka, Blueberry Vodka and Gin, which are created from potatoes grown at Green Thumb Farms in Fryeburg, Maine and triple-distilled in a copper pot still. The Maine Distilleries lineup will be available nationally, with the Cold River vodkas retailing at $34.99 and Cold River Gin at $27.99.
•Lakewood, New York’s Southern Tier Brewing will augment its seasonal lineup with 2XSMASH and Back Burner Barley Wine Style Ale in January. A new offering, 2XSMASH is a single malt and single hop double IPA, brewed with Mosaic hops and Special Pale malt, and available in 12-ounce six-packs and on draft. Back Burner will be available in its original 22-ounce bottle format, as well as in 12-ounce four-packs for the first time next year.
