•St. Louis-based contract brewer Brew Hub has announced an expansion of its Lakeland, Florida, brewery and new partnerships with JDub’s Brewing Company of Sarasota and M.I.A. Brewing Company of Miami. JDub’s Brewing currently produces 4,000 barrels and will increase to 10,000 barrels by linking with Brew Hub, while M.I.A. Brewing’s production will grow from 2,000 barrels to 8,000 barrels. Brew Hub’s existing partners include Cigar City, BJ’s Restaurants, Toppling Goliath, Green Man, Orange Blossom, GolfBeer and Brew Bus. Brew Hub’s Lakeland brewery opened in September 2014 with an initial capacity of 60,000 barrels (1 million cases). With the addition of new equipment, capacity will rise to 100,000 barrels (1.4 million cases) for 2016. The company, backed by private equity firm Yucaipa Cos., plans to open another brewery in Chesterfield, Missouri in late 2016 or early 2017.
