•Texas’s Spoetzl Brewery is set to introduce a new Shiner Birthday Beer. Celebrating the company’s 107 years of brewing, the new Shiner Birthday offering is a Hoppy Pilsner brewed with two-row German Pilsner malt and Hallertau Tradition and Czech Saaz hops. The limited-edition, 5% abv beer will launch this spring in bottles, cans and on draft.

•Minneapolis’ Indeed Brewing Company has posted sales of more than 11,000 barrels of beer (or 152,000 cases) for 2015, representing a 42% increase over the previous year. More than 80% of Indeed’s 2015 volume was sold in the Twin Cities. To buttress further growth in the coming year, the company is adding a new 210-barrel fermenter. Among other initiatives, Indeed is currently aging more than 18,000 gallons of beer that will be part of its barrel-aging program, with offerings such as Rum King and Wooden Soul. Founded in 2012, Indeed’s core lineup includes Day Tripper American Pale Ale, Midnight Ryder Black IPA and Dandy Lager Pale Lager, among a number of seasonal and specialty releases.

•Asheville, North Carolina-based Green Man Brewery will begin offering its popular Imperial Stout, The Dweller, in 12-ounce bottles beginning next month. The 10%-abv brew features notes of coffee, dark chocolate and burnt toffee, the company says. The Dweller will be available in limited release in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles beginning in January. Green Man is undertaking a 25,000-square-foot expansion next to its current facility in downtown Asheville that will include a new brewhouse, packaging hall, tasting room and retail shop.
