•Gruppo Campari has agreed to sell non-core Italian business Casoni Fabbricazione Liquori S.p.A. to a pool of local entrepreneurs for €5.3 million ($5.8m). Stating that the deal underlines its “strategy of strengthening focus on the core high-margin spirits business,” Campari noted that the sale follows similar divestitures of the Limoncetta, Punch Barbieri, Enrico Serafino brands and other non-core assets—totaling about €43 million ($47m)—over the past few years. Casoni Fabbricazione Liquori came to Gruppo Campari as part of its acquisition of Fratelli Averna in 2014, and specializes in private label production.Subscribe to Shanken News Daily’s Email Newsletter, delivered to your inbox each morning.
