More On The New Treasury Chateau & Estate Portfolio

January 19, 2016

Following Friday’s news that Treasury Wine Estates has created a new Chateau & Estate unit to house a host of luxury imported wines formerly handled by Diageo, SND has learned that the new TC&E’s total volume is approximately 15,000-18,000 cases. Within that, Burgundy wines from Pouilly-Fuisse and Chablis will account for 7,000-8,000 cases, as will wines from the Cote d’Or, depending on the vintage.

The vast majority of former Diageo Chateau & Estate imports are now shifting to TWE, with only one or two brands outstanding. TWE Americas president Sandra LeDrew says the addition of the new upscale portfolio will significantly enhance the company’s position in “the best accounts in the most important markets.”
