•Oregon-based Flatbed Cider Company is rolling out its first products in Washington and Oregon this month, distributed by Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. Flatbed is launching two offerings both on- and off-premise, Crisp Apple Cider and Pear Cider. Made with local, whole-pressed apples and Champagne yeast, Flatbed’s ciders have a dry taste profile, The Crisp Apple is blended from Jonagold, Red Delicious, Newtown Pippins and Gravensteins apples, while the Pear expression is produced from Northwest-grown Bartlett pears. Flatbed’s ciders are hitting the market in six-packs of 12-ounces bottles retailing at $10.99.

•Lexington, Virginia’s Devils Backbone Brewing Company has unveiled Danzig Baltic Porter as the first entry in its 2016 Trail Blazer series. Previously available only at Devils Backbone’s Basecamp Brewpub, the 8%-abv offering is billed as a blend between an English-style porter and Germanic lager, made with Northern Brewer and Tettnang hops and Pilsner, Vienna, Munich, Brown, Chocolate Wheat, Caramel and Cara-fa malts. Danzig Baltic Porter will be available in bottles and draft across the brewer’s full distribution footprint—which includes Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia—for the first time starting this month.
