Exclusive: Terlato Adds Burgundy’s Luxury Château de La Tour Wines To Portfolio
February 1, 2016Terlato Wines is bolstering its portfolio by adding the wines of Burgundy’s Château de La Tour and the Labet family.
Château de La Tour was established by the ancestors of the current owners—the Labet and Déchelette families—in the late 1800s. With 15 acres, Château de La Tour also is the largest holder within Burgundy’s Clos Vougeot area.
Around 2,000 cases of the Château de La Tour wines are produced annually. The wines, which were previously handled by a number of importers across the U.S. market, are squarely in the luxury tier, with retail prices ranging from $225 to $800 a bottle. Around 65% of Château de La Tour’s U.S. sales occur in the on-premise.
