Treasury Wine Estates Opens New Unit To House Australian Regional Wines

February 16, 2016

Treasury Wine Estates has created a new division to market its portfolio of regional Australian wine brands, including Coldstream Hills, Devil’s Lair, Seppelt, T’Gallant, Heemskerk and Saltram, among others. TWE’s new Regional Gems unit will be led by Regional Wines general manager Christian Sim, who has been the company’s general manager of supply chain planning and logistics, and will focus exclusively on maximizing the regional brands’ potential both domestically and internationally.

The announcement of the Regional Gems initiative follows Treasury’s move last year to identify 15 global priority brands as part of its “strategic roadmap.” Those include Penfolds, Wolf Blass, Lindeman’s, Rosemount, Beringer, Chateau St. Jean and Stag’s Leap and Matua among others.
