Delivery Provider Thirstie To Acquire Rival DrinkFly

Beverage alcohol delivery provider Thirstie has agreed to acquire Chicago-based rival DrinkFly, which has a presence in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Dallas, Houston and New York. The purchase price was undisclosed. Founded in 2014, DrinkFly has led the alcohol delivery segment in Chicago, with monthly growth tracking at over 50%. Will Cullen, founder and CEO of DrinkFly, will take on an advisory role at Thirstie and transition DrinkFly’s retail partners and customers to the combined entity. Thirstie, which is present in 20 markets, has seen 34% monthly growth over the past year, with its average order value above $75.
