•Comstock, Michigan-based Bell’s Brewery is launching in three new states—Mississippi, Louisiana and West Virginia. The Mississippi launch starts this month, with Louisiana following in May and West Virginia in July. The brewer has partnered with Proud Eagle, Mountain Eagle and Northern Eagle for the West Virginia market; Capital City Beverage, Clark Beverage Group, F.E.B. Distributing, Stokes Distributing Company and Magnolia Beverage Company in Mississippi; and Crescent Crown Distributing, Eagle Distributing Shreveport, Choice Brands and Venture Marketing Corporation in Louisiana. By the end of 2016, Bell’s anticipates presence in 30 states, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico, with South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas slated to launch later this year.

•Portland, Oregon’s Hopworks Urban Brewery is adding to its year-round lineup with Gear Up, a Northwest-style IPA. The 6.2%-abv offering is the company’s first launch in six-packs of 12-ounce cans and will be sold in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Utah and western Canada. It’s also available on draft in Oregon and Washington. Gear Up IPA is brewed with organic malted barley from Oregon and local Oregon and Washington hops. Hopworks’ 20-barrel brewery produces 13,500 barrels of beer and cider a year for distribution across the Pacific Northwest.
