•Pernod Ricard USA has appointed Julien Hémard to the newly created position of chief commercial officer, effective July 1. Hémard has been with Pernod Ricard for the past two decades, and is currently managing director of Pernod Ricard Pacific, a post he’s held since 2010. Meanwhile, Marty Crane, Pernod Ricard USA’s senior vice president, spirits sales, is leaving the company after a 14-year tenure. Pernod Ricard recently announced that Paul Duffy is returning to his post as CEO of Pernod Ricard USA, also effective July 1.

•Canada’s Kruger Wine and Spirits has signed a nationwide sales agreement with Connecticut-based Blackheath Beverage Group for its Spicebox Canadian rye spiced whisky and Sortilège maple whisky liqueur. A 40%-abv Prohibition-style whisky, Spicebox is composed of more than 50% rye and flavored with a proprietary mix of spices, while Sortilège is a 30%-abv blend of Canadian rye whisky and maple syrup. Both brands were previously handled in the U.S. by 375 Park Avenue Spirits.
