•California’s Coronado Brewing Company is launching its newest summer seasonal, Berry The Hatchet. The 4.6%-abv seasonal wheat beer is also the first brew to feature the company’s rebranded design on the bottle and label, following a debut on canned offerings last month. Berry The Hatchet was infused with red raspberries, blackberries and boysenberries. It’s available in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles, 22-ounce bottles and on draft from May through July.

•Michigan-based Founders Brewing Company will enter the Maryland market next month through Legends-Limited Distribution. The initial rollout will include Baltimore, Frederick, Howard, Carroll, Montgomery and Anne Arundel counties, with distribution to other counties to follow later in the year. Founders’ year-round, seasonal and specialty beers will be available in bottles, cans and kegs in Maryland, which extends its footprint to 37 states. Founders sold a 30% stake to Spain’s Mahou San Miguel for an undisclosed sum last year.
