Boxed Wine Looks To Move Further Upscale
May 18, 2016Higher-end boxed wine continues to thrive, led by Black Box and Bota Box, which dominate the premium boxed segment. Those two brands have changed the dynamic of the business by lifting the top price point above $20 in the 3-liter size, while also capturing most of the growth. But despite the progress on pricing, packaging and quality, no one has been able to break through that $20 ceiling and enter super-premium territory. Now efforts are afoot to do just that.
