•Napa Smith Brewery is expanding operations with two new production facilities outside its home base of Napa, California. Napa Smith is on track to open a new brewery in Vallejo, California by the end of 2016, and the brewer has partnered with Turtle Anarchy Brewing Company for co-operative production in Nashville, Tennessee, set to begin in July. Napa Smith’s parent company, Nashville-based R.S. Lipman Company, says current production capabilities are maxed out, but that the new facilities will double Napa Smith’s capacity and allow it to expand distribution to all 50 states.

•Baltimore’s Heavy Seas Beer is debuting a new seasonal brew, an Oktoberfest-style lager called TreasureFest. Billed as an American twist on the classic German style, TreasureFest is brewed with German malt and hops and dry-hopped with American hops. TreasureFest Oktoberfest lager is launching next month across Heavy Seas’ 17-state footprint. Heavy Seas’ year-round range includes Pounder Pils, Powder Monkey Pale Ale, CrossBones Session IPA, Loose Cannon IPA, Double Cannon Double IPA and Peg Leg Imperial Stout.
