July 19, 2016•Social media personality Violet Benson has partnered with Fine Wine Agency CEO Anthony Allport to launch Fun Wine Co., a new millennial-focused wine brand. Rolling out this summer, Fun Wine Co. features a California-sourced red, white and rosé in 750-ml. bottles ($16.99), as well as 375-ml. version of the rosé ($9.99) paired with a blue-and-white striped straw. A New York-based wine importer and distributor, Fine Wine Agency has collaborated on several celebrity wine brands, including actor Tituss Burgess’ Pinot By Tituss Burgess range and social media personality Josh Ostrovsky’s White Girl Rosé.
•Republic National Distributing Co. (RNDC) has appointed Darrell Riekena as chief information officer. Riekena, who will be based at RNDC’s Atlanta offices and report directly to company CEO Tom Cole, was previously chief information officer/chief operating officer of National DCP, LLP, the supply chain management cooperative serving the franchisees of Dunkin’ Donuts.
