•Fort Collins, Colorado’s New Belgium Brewing is releasing four new offerings ahead of the fall season—Pumpkick, Le Terroir, Bretta IPA and Fruit Fly. Pumpkick Spiced Seasonal Ale (6.0% abv) features pumpkin juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cranberry, while Le Terroir Dry-Hopped Sour Ale (7.5% abv) is brewed with Amarillo and Galaxy hops. Bretta IPA (7.5% abv) is conditioned on two strains of Brettanomyces yeast for a month and brewed with Equinox, Galaxy and Warrior hops. Finally, Fruit Fly Passion Citra Sour (5.7% abv) is a stainless steel sour beer featuring a house lacto strain and passion fruit, which is dry-hopped with Citra hops. Fruit Fly and Bretta IPA are draft-only offerings, while Le Terroir is available in 22-ounce bombers and on draft and Pumpkin is sold in six- and 12-packs.

•Seattle-based Copperworks Distilling is launching its first American single malt whiskey this month. Bottled at 104 proof, Copperworks Whiskey Release 001 is made with craft beer sourced from Seattle’s Elysian Brewing, twice-distilled in two different copper pot stills and matured for 30 months in charred new American oak. Copperworks Whiskey Release 001 will be available starting August 27, limited to about 1,000 bottles ($60 a 750-ml.). In addition to its new American single malt, Copperworks produces gin, barrel-aged gin and vodka.
