August 22, 2016•Eugene, Oregon’s Ninkasi Brewing Company is phasing out its Oatis Oatmeal Stout and updating the look and packaging of sister brew Vanilla Oatis. The new-look Vanilla Oatis is rolling out in 12-ounce six-packs for the first time, as well as in 22-ounce bottles and on draft. Vanilla Oatis (7% abv) is brewed with 2-row pale, chocolate, crystal, roasted barley and oats malt and Nugget hops and includes vanilla beans from Madagascar. Ninkasi, the 36th-largest craft brewer nationwide, according to the Brewers Association, distributes to Alaska, Alberta, Arizona, California, Washington D.C., Colorado, Idaho, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Vancouver.
•Stratford, Connecticut-based Two Roads Brewing is launching its Ok2berfest seasonal in cans for the first time. Previously available only on draft, the 5.8%-abv entry is a Märzen lager, styled after the beer traditionally served at Oktoberfest celebrations in Munich. Two Roads Ok2berfest will be available in four-packs of 16-ounce cans starting this month.
