•BrewSA, a brewer that has pledged to donate 25% of profits to military veterans’ causes, is opening a new brewery and taproom on Long Island this fall. Launched in 2013 by co-owners Steve Walley and Tom Limerick, the BrewSA brand had been contract-brewed by Wisconsin-based Minhas Brewery, and was available in select East Coast markets. However, the company is nearing completion on construction of its own facility, which will be located on Freeport’s Nautical Mile. Wayne Milford, former head brewer at Dogfish Head Brewery, has been brought in to brew a range of styles under the BrewSA umbrella.
