January 11, 2017•San Francisco’s Anchor Brewing has launched Liberty IPA, a new limited edition offering. A spinoff of Anchor Brewing’s year-round Liberty Ale, Liberty IPA is made with two-row pale malt and Cascade hops, as well as a helping of Nelson Sauvin and El Dorado hops. The 6.3%-abv entry is debuting nationwide this month and will be available in six-packs and on draft through April. Along with Liberty IPA and Liberty Ale, Anchor Brewing’s portfolio includes Steam Beer, California Lager, Go West IPA, Porter and Old Foghorn Ale, among others.
•Hood River, Oregon’s Full Sail Brewing is rolling out its Brewmaster Reserve Slipknot IPA in six-packs for the first time. Originally brewed in 2004, the 7%-abv beer features Cascade, Nugget, Citra and Mosaic hops with Northwest 2-row pale and Crystal malts. Full Sail recently unveiled new packaging across its core lineup and seasonal Brewmaster Reserve series of small-batch, limited release beers. Slipknot will be available through May in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and on draft.
