Wine Spectator: 2016 Wine Auctions Hint At Strong Times To Come
January 19, 2017At first glance, the global wine-auction market’s 2% decrease in sales during the past 12 months, from $345.9 million in 2015 to $338.7 million in 2016, appears disappointing. But those numbers obscure the details. For a handful of auction houses—including Sotheby’s, Zachys and others—2016 was a stellar year.
