January 24, 2017•Atlanta-based Sweetwater Brewing will launch four new brews next month. They include seasonal Grass Monkey, a hoppy pale wheat ale with lemongrass rolling out through April in both bottles and cans; Old Man Johnson’s Farm imperial stout with raspberries (part of the Dank Tank series), a draft-only offering; Single Hop Mosaic IPA, the inaugural entry in Sweetwater’s new Hatchery series of experimental brews, launching as part of the brewer’s spring variety pack; and 20th Anniversary Ale, an imperial IPA available in 750-ml. bottles. Sweetwater’s year-round lineup includes 420 Pale Ale, IPA, Blue blueberry ale, Goin’ Coastal IPA with pineapple and Hash Session IPA.
•Boston’s Harpoon Brewery is releasing Fresh Tracks, a new spring seasonal. A 6.2%-abv pale ale, Fresh Tracks is a single-hop brew made only with the Centennial hop variety, known for its piney, citrusy character. The newcomer is launching now in 12-ounce bottles and cans as well as on draft. Harpoon ranks as the nation’s 19th-largest craft brewer, according to the Brewers Association.
