Mobile Drinks Rebate App bevRAGE Off To Fast Start

Since launching last August, mobile beverage rebate app bevRAGE has hit $1.5 million in cash rebates to its customers on beer, wine and spirits purchases.The mobile app-based consumer rebating system operates in both on- and off-premise channels and rewards consumers with a rebate on their purchase within 48 hours after submitting a photo of the receipt.

BevRAGE has aligned with more than 80 brands, including Absolut, Stolichnaya, Captain Morgan, Carnivor, Perrier-Jouët and Heineken, which gain transaction-level data through the app. Rebate offers are then created and targeted based on consumption behavior through the company’s proprietary technology. The retailer does not incur any additional costs or fulfillment requirements. The service is currently available as a free download for LDA consumers in 42 states.

“Our data shows that when our customers regularly engage with bevRAGE, they’re twice as likely to try new brands, and in many cases, new product categories. We’ve also seen a positive correlation between basket size and frequency of app use,” bevRAGE co-founder Rich Vogel tells SND. “In the coming year we expect the user base to grow exponentially and our brand portfolio to triple.” —Kimberly Tharel
