March 30, 2017•Kentucky-based Rabbit Hole Distilling has unveiled its first whiskey offerings. The new Rabbit Hole range features a Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Kentucky Straight Rye, as well as a Straight Bourbon finished in PX Sherry casks, which is part of Rabbit Hole’s limited-release Fingerprint Edition series. The trio initially will be available in Illinois, Kentucky and Nashville, with entry into Memphis, Indiana, Wisconsin and Georgia to follow. Rabbit Hole Distilling, which is set to open its Louisville distillery to visitors next winter, also plans to launch a rye-barrel-finished London Dry Gin.
•Effective May 1, Cheryl Collins will become Ninkasi Brewing Company’s new CEO. Collins, currently COO, will take the reins from Nikos Ridge, the brewery’s cofounder. Collins has been with the Oregon-based brewer for five years. Ridge will assume the title of president and remain on the company’s board. Ninkasi was founded in 2006 and its beers are distributed in 13 states. It is the 33rd-largest craft brewery in the U.S., according to the Brewers Association.
