•This month, Avery Brewing Co. is debuting its newest year-round brew nationwide. The Real Peel is a 6.3%-abv IPA brewed with tangerine peel. The newcomer is based on a taproom-exclusive beer that was especially popular with Avery’s fans during the summer months. Since the completion of Avery’s new brewing facility in 2015, the company now has the production capacity to take The Real Peel to national audiences. Avery’s newest beer will be available in six-packs of 12-ounce cans.
•Kentucky’s Rabbit Hole Distilling has partnered with Proprietors LLC to open and operate a 55,000-square-foot multi-use venue featuring Rabbit Hole’s craft spirits. The bar, restaurant, event space and tasting room occupies the first floor of Rabbit Hole’s new Louisville distillery. Proprietors LLC is best known for operating New York City’s Death & Co and The Walker Inn in Los Angeles. Rabbit Hole’s initial releases include standard Bourbon and Rye whiskies as well as a PX Sherry cask-finished Bourbon. A Rye barrel-finished London Dry Gin is coming soon. Rabbit Hole’s spirits are distributed in Kentucky, Illinois and Tennessee. The new distillery and venue will be open by late 2017.
•Stratford, Connecticut-based Two Roads Brewing is entering Washington D.C. and northern Virginia this month, with additional expansion into Maryland to follow in June. The brewer has partnered with Legends Limited in Washington D.C. and Maryland and with Specialty Beverage in northern Virginia, bringing its total U.S. reach to 13 markets.
