June 1, 2017•Texas-based Lakewood Brewing has released two summer seasonals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with more Texas markets to come. Lakewood’s Zomer Pils is a 4.8%-abv, dry-hopped Pilsner made with Lemondrop and Noble hops. Lakewood is also debuting its Artsy Tartsy Berliner Weisse outside of the company’s taproom for the first time. The 4%-abv beer is a lightly sour beer brewed with peaches. Zomer Pills is available in six-packs of 12-ounce cans and on draft while Artsy Tartsy is a draft exclusive.
•Atlanta, Georgia’s Second Self Beer Company will introduce Margarita in Gose in Georgia and Alabama on June 1. The beer is a companion to the company’s popular summer beer, Maverick & Gose. Margarita in Gose is a 4.3%-abv beer brewed with Florida orange peel and lime for a bright, sweet and sour flavor that recalls a Margarita. Margarita in Gose is launching in six-packs of 12-ounce cans.
•Milwaukee-based Lakefront Brewery has debuted one of its flagship beers in cans for the first time. The 30-year-old brewery has canned Riverwest Stein, a 5.6%-abv amber lager. Lakefront says more of its beers will be sold in cans looking ahead. Riverwest Stein is currently available in 12-packs of 12-ounce cans and, by the first week of July, will be available in four-packs of 16-ounce cans throughout the company’s 37 state distribution footprint.
