Biagio Cru Extends Lolailo, Rosé All Day With Canned Offshoots
June 26, 2017New York-based importer Biagio Cru & Estate is entering the canned wine space with its Lolailo Sangria and Rosé All Day brands. Starting this summer, Lolailo’s red sangria will be available in new 250-ml. cans nationwide, retail priced at $10.99 a four-pack.
The winner of four consecutive Impact “Hot Brand” awards, Lolailo (around $10 a 1.5-liter) rose 10% to 636,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank. Biagio Cru principal Darren Restivo tells SND that Massachusetts, Illinois, Florida, California, New York and Virginia have been driving growth for Lolailo.
Concurrently, Biagio Cru’s recently launched Rosé All Day brand is also offering 250-ml. cans nationwide, which will retail at $14.99 a four-pack. Rolled out in May, Rosé All Day ($13 a 750-ml.) is a 100% Grenache rosé sourced from France’s Languedoc-Roussillon region. —Christina Jelski
