•The Brewers Association has launched a new seal to differentiate independent brewers from macrobrewers and acquired brands. The seal, an upturned bottle with copy asserting the brewer’s independence, will be available for use by any brewer who has a valid TTB Brewer’s Notice and fits the BA’s craft definition. According to the BA, the seal is a way to help craft and independent brands stand out from mass-market and acquired competitors. The seal will be available to both members and non-members of the Brewers Association.

•Next month, Coronado Brewing Co. will release its 21st Anniversary Imperial IPA. The 8.0%-abv beer is brewed with a blend of Azacca, Citra and Centennial hops to create a peach- and citrus-driven IPA. The company will celebrate its 21st anniversary and the limited-release beer at a party at its Bay Park, San Diego tasting room on July 29. Coronado Brewing Co. 21st Anniversary Imperial IPA will be available in six-packs of 12-ounce cans, 22-ounce bottles and on draft, while supplies last, throughout the company’s distribution footprint.
