•Carlsberg has acquired the U.K.’s London Fields Brewery and will operate the brand in conjunction with Brooklyn Brewery. While financial terms haven’t been made public, the Evening Standard reports that Carlsberg purchased London Fields for $5.2 million. London Fields was founded in 2011 by Julian De Vere Whiteway-Wilkinson and produced beer at the London facility until late 2014 when the U.K. government raided the brewery for allegedly dodging taxes. Since then, the brand has been produced by third parties. Carlsberg plans to restore the London Fields site to a full production brewery with Brooklyn Brewery’s team consulting on new additions to the brand. The London Fields brand will become a part of Carlsberg’s U.K. portfolio. London Fields is the fourth joint venture between Brooklyn Brewery and Carlsberg and comes days after the pair announced HK Yau Brewing Company in Hong Kong.
