•New Belgium Brewing has named Beam Suntory veteran Steve Fechheimer as CEO. Fechheimer most recently served as Beam Suntory’s chief strategy officer. In his new role, he replaces Kim Jordan, New Belgium’s founder, who has been serving as interim CEO of the company since the departure of former chief executive Christine Perich late last year. Jordan remains executive chair of New Belgium’s board. Concurrently, New Belgium has expanded the role of general counsel Joe Davis, who will now also become chief operating officer. Davis has been a member of the brewery’s leadership team since 2013.

•The Boston Beer Co. has announced the late July release of a limited edition collaborative 12-pack called Brewing the American Dream. The special release beers were designed with five brewers associated with Boston Beer’s Brewing the American Dream program, which provides loans and expertise to help new breweries succeed. The 12-pack includes Samuel Adams Boston Lager, plus collaborations with Roc Brewing (ThreeNinety Bock), Bosque Brewing (Desert Kaleidoscope IPA), ChuckAlek Independent Brewers (Time Hop Porter), Woods Beer Co. (Boston Tea Party Saison), and Brewery Rickoli (Oats McGoats Stout). The Brewing the American Dream 12-pack will be available nationwide at around $20.
