July 20, 2017•San Antonio-based Rebecca Creek Distillery has taken on a new minority investor and is planning a significant expansion, aiming for production of 100,000 nine-liter cases by the end of next year. Rebecca Creek gained $15 million in new capital in recent days as an investment group led by Henning Kreke, chairman of Germany-based beauty retailer Douglas GmbH, acquired a minority stake in the company. The investment will allow Rebecca Creek to roughly quadruple its current production capacity. The craft distiller’s brands include Rebecca Creek Fine Texas Whiskey ($35 a 750-ml.), Texas Ranger Whiskey ($24-$26), and Enchanted Rock vodka and Enchanted Rock Peach vodka ($20).
