•Terlato Wines has extended its fast-rising brand The Federalist with a new Bourbon Barrel-Aged Zinfandel ($20 a 750-ml.). The Mendocino County-sourced offering was aged for six months in American oak barrels and finished for six months in charred Bourbon barrels. Initial production is 16,500 cases. The Federalist’s Bourbon Barrel-Aged Zinfandel joins a brand line that already includes Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and the Dueling Pistols and Honest red blends. Last year, The Federalist nearly doubled to 200,000 cases in the U.S. For 2017, Terlato is targeting volume of about 360,000 cases.
