September 25, 2017•Portland, Oregon’s Ground Breaker Brewing is preparing to launch two fresh hop IPAs by the end of September. Gayle IPA, a 6%-abv ale brewed with Crystal hops, will be released at the end of the month. Epoch IPA, a 6%-abv ale brewed with Strata hops, is rolling out now. The pair of IPAs will be available in 22-ounce bottles in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Ground Breaker Brewing’s beers are certified gluten free.
•Washington state’s Heritage Distilling Co. is set to open a new 11,000-foot production and retail space next fall in Tumwater, Washington. Heritage’s new facility will have a capacity of 150,000 proof gallons through a combination of twin pot stills and smaller gin stills. The distillery will also include a tasting room and retail operations. Heritage, which produces a variety of craft spirits across several brands including Batch No. 12 and Elk Rider, also has production facilities in Gig Harbor, Washington and Eugene, Oregon.
