•Kentucky’s Limestone Branch Distillery, 50%-owned by Luxco, has launched the 2017 edition of its limited-edition Yellowstone Kentucky Straight Bourbon. The whiskey, a 50.5%-abv blend of four-, seven- and 12-year-old Bourbons, is the first iteration of Yellowstone to feature some of Limestone Branch’s own distillate. The Bourbons are blended and rested in once-filled, double-seasoned wine barrels to complete the aging process. Between 7,000 and 8,000 bottles will be released at a suggested price of $100 each.

•Denver, Colorado-based Stranahan’s Whiskey, part of the Proximo Spirits portfolio, is adding a Sherry Cask offering to its lineup. The new entry begins as four-year-old Stranahan’s Rocky Mountain single malt whiskey, and is finished in 500-liter Oloroso Sherry barrels. Stranahan’s Sherry Cask is at 47% abv and retails at $80 a 750-ml. Rolling out nationwide both on- and off-premise, it joins Stranahan’s Original (a blend of two-, three-, four- and five-year-old whiskies) and Diamond Peak (a straight four-year-old whiskey) in the brand portfolio.

•E.&J. Gallo has announced that it will donate $1 million to aid the fire recovery effort in the Northern California wine country. The donation will be divided among the American Red Cross California Wildfires Relief Fund, the Community Foundation of Sonoma and the Napa Valley Community Foundation. In addition, Gallo will match employee donations to the cause two-for-one.
