•Washington-based Ste. Michelle Wine Estates has launched Merf, a new line of wines crafted and inspired by veteran winemaker David “Merf” Merfeld. The range includes two wines—Cabernet Sauvignon ($13 a 750-ml.) and Chardonnay ($11)—sourced from Washington’s Columbia Valley. The wines will be available in select markets across 19 states with nationwide distribution slated for summer 2018.

•Dundee, Oregon’s Wine By Joe/Dobbes Family Estate has promoted chief operating officer Gretchen Boock to CEO. Boock has worked with the winery since its inception in 2002. Additionally, production winemaker Travis Proctor has been named director of winemaking operations, while assistant winemaker Andy McVay has been promoted to winemaker for both Dobbes Family Estate wines and Dundee Vintners.
