•Astral Tequila, part of the Davos Brands portfolio, is rolling out a new “smart” bottle this month in key markets including California, Texas, Florida, New York, Illinois, New Jersey and Georgia. The new bottles, said to be the first of their kind in the industry, feature a custom “near field communications” neck collar created in collaboration with Thin Film Electronics. Using their smartphones, consumers can tap the smart bottles in-store at the point of sale to view exclusive video from Astral spokesperson Jonathan Goldsmith, previously known for his role in Dos Equis’ “Most interesting man in the world” campaign.
