•Oregon’s Rogue Ales & Spirits will launch Straight Outta Newport double IPA in January. The beer is an 8.7%-abv ale brewed with Citra, Mosaic and Comet hops for a bright, fruity and juicy profile, according to the brewer. Straight Outta Newport is Rogue’s tribute to the Oregon Coast, and its label features the Yaquina Bay Bridge and the Rogue brewers who designed the recipe. Rogue will release the beer on draft and in four-packs of 16-ounce cans nationwide in the new year.

•Firestone Walker, part of the Duvel Moortgat USA family, has launched Wookus, the latest release in the brewer’s Leo v. Ursus Chronology series. The beer is an 8.2%-abv Imperial Black IPA brewed with black rye, Amarillo and Citra hops for a full-bodied beer that’s hoppy and spicy. Firestone Walker Wookus is now available for a limited time on draft and in four-packs of 16-ounce cans across the U.S.
